The main keys to traveling safe to any destination are to
a) Use the buddy system- never go anywhere alone.
b) Do not use illegal drugs. Do not buy or sell illegal drugs. These actions can land you in some serious trouble!!!
c) Do not get intoxicated. Control your drinking. You will have much more fun if you do so!
d) Respect the locals. Everyone takes pride in their city. Do not disrespect their town or people.
e) Drink bottled water in Mexico. Stay away from the tap water.
f) Use common sense! Just because you are in a foreign country does not mean your common sense behaviors no longer apply. For example: DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE, DO NOT JUMP OFF BALCONIES, DO NOT SWIM IF INTOXICATED, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT GET IN FIGHTS, DO NOT GO HOME WITH STRANGERS!
-Again, these are common sense items, but a reminder on them is sometimes neccessary.
